Two days ago this lovely black boy was born on the farm. His Dam is Priscilla, one of our Brown Swiss cows, and his Sire is Campbell, a New Zealand Friesian. He was born way up on the hill where the cows graze during their dry period. It was a long walk down to the barn, especially for an animal so young and new to the world. It took over 40 minutes to walk him and Priscilla down the hill, which included several bouts of Topher carrying the little guy. He is now living in the back barn with the group of other calves – you should come by to meet him if you’re in the area. We’re taking suggestions for his name – only rule being that it must start with the letter “P”. Make a suggestion on our facebook page here.
