On Friday Matthew spent some time seeding onf the dairy pastures. Seeding on the cold weather is called frost seeding and the alternating freeze and thaw of the ground helps draw the seeds into the earth.
Seeding in a field where the cows are grazing allows the hoof action (walking around) of the cows to press the seed into the ground. The cows were quite interested in the seeding – here you can see one looking on.
